These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lancely (“Lancely,” “we,” “our,” “us”), the freelance-business management platform available at lance-ly.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Lancely. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for everything that happens under your account.
Lancely provides tools for freelancers to manage clients, send quotations and invoices, track expenses and payments, and view business reports. The Service is provided “as is” — we work hard to make it reliable, but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Lancely offers a free plan with limits and a paid Pro plan. Every new signup gets a 14-day free trial of Pro, no card required. After the trial, you remain on the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe.
Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe through RevenueCat. Prices, billing cycles, and currencies are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
Cancellation: You may cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not generally issue partial refunds for unused time, except where required by law.
Price changes: We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Changes apply to renewals after the notice period.
You own the data you put into Lancely. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and process that data solely to operate the Service for you. You can export and delete your data at any time.
You agree not to use Lancely to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
The Lancely name, logo, software, and design are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you. You retain all rights to the business data you create within Lancely.
Lancely integrates with third parties — currently RevenueCat, Stripe, Resend, MongoDB Atlas, and AI providers via Emergent. Your use of those services through Lancely is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Lancely is a productivity tool, not a tax, legal, or financial advisor. The VAT calculations, reports, and outputs Lancely produces are based on the data you enter and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before being used for any tax filing or official purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
You can stop using Lancely and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or operational reasons, with reasonable notice when feasible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the UAE.
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged in-app and/or emailed to you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
